The Managing General Partner Gene Lessman has over 40-years of experience in the roofing and Sheetmetal business. Gene has worked with most of the major commercial general contractors and architectural firms in the state of Texas. Gene has managed new construction and re-roofs for Schools,Hospitals, Library’s , Fire Departments, Emergency Service Districts, Juvenile Justice Centers, State Prisons, United States Air-force, United States Coast Guard, SPCA, Community Centers, Sports Facility, Stadiums and Airports.

Our residential roofing services include installing new roofs or roof replacements to address those that have worn out due to age as well as those that have been damaged by hail, storms or wind. We can repair or replace, Shingle Roofs, Standing Seam, TPO or any architecturally challenging roof application.

Quality Control Methodology

In today’s competitive marketplace, LESSCO recognizes an effective quality control system must be practiced to provide quality, cost-effective construction services. The management team at LESSCO is committed to providing Commercial Roofing services, which comply fully with the specifications and expectations of their clients. The management team utilizes their experience in public sector construction projects to ensure the quality control program is understood, implemented, and maintained at all levels of the organization, including subcontractors. At any stage in the project, the Project Manager and onsite superintendent have the authority to intercede directly to stop unsatisfactory work and to control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming material.

The Project Manager and Project Superintendent are responsible for the execution of the Quality Control Program for their assigned projects. Their tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

• Review of specifications, submittals, plans, and shop drawings for to provide for strict compliance
with construction documents and contractual requirements
• Ensure that workmanship and materials are in strict compliance with the plans and specifications
• Coordination of all project testing and inspections
• Verification of materials to be per project plans and specifications
• Development of means and methods to store and protect materials in accordance with the
company loss prevention program
• Ensure materials and construction conform to the requirements for the completeness, accuracy,
and constructability in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal building codes
• Ensure proper protection of completed work
• Maintain documentation of inspection of completed work including daily field reports and quality
control inspection reports
• Review and approve all subcontractor payment applications and ensure the proper lien waivers
are submitted prior to payment
As part of LESSCOs quality control program the Project Manager and Project Superintendent conduct
preparatory meetings at the beginning of any major definable feature of work. During the Preparatory
Meeting the construction team defines a detailed plan of action to efficiently execute the particular
scope of work at hand and to identify all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to expedite the
completion of the scope of work. If overtime work is required to meet the construction schedule, it is at
no additional cost to the owner. Each detailed preparatory plan of action is documented and
transmitted to the owner’s representative for review and approval.
